Ramazan is upon us!
I'm thinking the company needs to give me a day off without taking it off of my holidays! Just like they do with 4th of july for Americans. And I'm going to ask for the same kind of holidays when it's Iranian revolution anniversary or the first birthday for Iranian nuclear bomb!

Smart sanctions, Stupid results
Since Obama's election in 2009, US has followed a new, somewhat confusing strategy towards Iran. From secret visits to public announcement of interest in engagement, to Obama's new Persian year message to "People of Islamic Republic of Iran" all showing a level of naive hope in the US administration that there would be someone within Iranian government that can pick up the phone.
Iran's refusal to stopping of Uranium enrichment, with obsessive pressure from Israel for "back breaking sanctions", followed by amusing negligence towards Iran's human rights records left those of us who still have some hope in resolving Iran issue peacefully bewildered.
It was a year ago, when "Iranian people" where attacked, beaten to death, raped in prisons, and shot dead on the streets of Tehran thanks to Electric shock batons made in Germany, Night vision goggles made in Britain, Internet censoring software made in US, and most shockingly Nokia's deep packet inspection service that allowed Iranian government to track down virtually any of the protesters who had carried a cell phone, pretty much everyone.
A year on, US Senate has passed smart sanctions that would target Iranian government and not the Iranian people, and would support Green movement for democratic change in Iran. As a result, British, German, and some Arab airports have refused to provide Iranian passenger planes with fuel. What seems funny to me is that the people on those planes are exactly the people who were shot at on the streets of Tehran by government supporters. And at the same time, Russia, Europe's close ally, the country which has just recently "Reset" it's relationship with USA, is building Iran's nuclear reactor and would soon deliver ultra modern air defence system S300 to Iranian government.
Once again, I'm surprised by shear stupidity of the politicians, Someone please give my message to the US senate:
"Guys, Iran is not a democratic country! It's politicians don't give a fuck about the Iranian people! Putting civil society in Iran under pressure would help the regime. This is not UK! It's Iran we are talking about, they shoot people on the streets for challenging an election...Get your head out of your bum and pass a resolution against Iran's horrific human right's record..."
