Looking the other way

When everybody who cares is fascinated by Obama's Norooz(new persian year) message and the almost rude response by "Ayatollah Ali Khamenei" the religious leader of Iran, somewhere in a corner of the notorious Evin prison in Tehran, "Omid Reza Mir Seifi", the 27 year old blogger who was prisoned for insulting supreme leader, was left to die on a prison bed while doctors denied him any medication while his friend Dr. Hesam, also an inmate, was thrown out of the room. Here is Hesam's version of what happened.

My Stand-up Aspirations!

My name sounds like shit in Spanish! What kind of parent would name their kid "shit"? Did someone ask my mom & dad "So have you chosen a name yet for our little princess?", looking at me the only thing they could think of was "Oh, Shit! No!!! (and he's a boy you b****)".

I'm just happy I wasn't named after my grandpa, I would have been "Wanker Nateghian Jr."!

"Why don't raise up agains bring a secular revolution in Iran?", she asked(pardon her English!).

It's easy: the supporters of the regime are ready to kill and we are not ready to die! After a bloody revolution + 8 years of war + 30 years of oppression by the state it's not that hard to understand why Iranians are tiered of violence and prefer a peaceful transition to a secular democratic state.

Home alone

With my flatmates gone for next 2 weeks, I have the house all to myself. I'm busy partying with dishes, cups and my favorite gal: PS3! Cooking for 4 and eating solo the same food for 3 days is not as much fun as you think! But on the bright side, I get to roam around the house naked and not having to clean the house at all! (Not to mention I love dressing up as M2, she has such a cool wardrobe)

"Ms. Once upon a time some where in the past, like 2 days after dinosaurs died" has came to haunt me as well! All the sudden she decides to drop by for a coffee (virtually speaking). So inappropriate, so not cool...

Violent protest has broken out at Amirkabir Polytechin in Tehran amid Islamic republic's decision to bury "Unidentified Martyrs" in small size cemetery on the campus, almost 20 years after the end of Iran-Iraq war.

Students are accusing the ultra-conservative establishment of using the burial as a pretext to militarize the universities by holding religious ceremonies largely attended by right wing militia backed by supreme leader "Ayatollah Ali Khamenei".

Over 70 students, at least 30 of which are female, have been arrested in a violent crack down of the peaceful protest. Videos of militia attacking students are widely published on the popular video sharing website: www.youtube.com
